Teju’s New Beginning with Dr. Bhaskar.

By Teju, 8 years old

Hello everyone!
My name is Teju, and, I am 8 years old. Like every child my age, I want to play, laugh, and make friends. But sometimes, it feels like my sensory issues are stealing those moments from me.

Making eye contact is hard for me. Loud sounds make me feel scared, confused, or even angry. I end up throwing tantrums or copying others around me—not because I want to, but because I don’t know what else to do. My anxiety gets so high that I cling to my Amma (mom) and seek comfort from everyone around me. Sometimes I hurt people—not because I mean to, but because I feel lost.

To cope, I started watching screens more and more. I even began throwing things at people around me. I didn’t want to live like this. I wanted help. I wanted to feel better.

That’s when Amma and Nana (Dad) found Dr. Bhaskar. They took me to meet him on March 24th, 2025—and that’s when everything started to change.

By March 26th, just two days later, people started noticing something different about me:

I stopped throwing tantrums.
I began greeting people with a big, happy smile.
I didn’t need to cling to Amma anymore. I could finally call them Amma and Nana!
Amma and Nana were so happy with my progress that we stayed with Dr. Bhaskar for two more weeks.

And guess what? My gastrocolic reflex (which used to bother me a lot) is now gone! I’m even dressing myself and starting to socialize with others. I’ve been watching people closely—not just to imitate, but to learn and grow.

The best part? My screen time has gone way down. I now have more time to spend with Amma and Nana, and that makes me feel really happy.

I know I still have a long way to go, but I feel like I’m finally on the right path. I’m thankful for the help I’ve received—and for the love that surrounds me every step of the way.
